FOSTER COORDINATOR

The foster coordinator is the primary point of contact for our volunteer foster families. They aid in integrating new animals into foster homes of all skill levels by providing ongoing support. The foster coordinator maintains accurate records, attends team meetings regularly and is responsible for overseeing the care of multiple pets in homes simultaneously. This position is a part time volunteer position.

A candidate for this position MUST have a dedication to animal rescue. This is a volunteer position, and someone not motivated by passion will have a hard time succeeding. A great candidate for a foster coordinator position must be a kind, patient and understanding person. This position will take several hours a few times a week. You may reside anywhere in the contiguous United States. Responsible for implementing and managing the foster program Coordinate with foster parent about the needs of their foster pet. This includes medical, supplies, paperwork, and timeline. Act as main point of contact for foster homes and commit to ‘regular’ check ins. Check in requirements dependent on pets length of time in foster care Coordinates with and/or assists the administrative assistant in scheduling foster interviews during the adoption process Report about the success and challenges of the foster program at weekly team meeting Will act as a liaison between foster homes and the RR team Must be familiar with basic veterinary care Must be familiar with and able to efficiently use email, text messaging, and Facebook. Must be well versed in video chats via Zoom, Facebook Messenger or Google Hangouts/Duo Prior experience is not a requirement. Passion is.

VETERINARY ADVISOR

The volunteer veterinary advisor is the rescue's main source of leadership when it comes to medical decisions. This volunteer is a licensed DVM who provides guidance and expertise on matters related to dogs and cat health and welfare within the rescues network as well as animals looking for intake. This DVM aids in the procurement of heartworm prevention with the use of their license. This position is remote, and does not require daily commitment.

A candidate for this position MUST have a dedication to animal rescue. This is a volunteer position, and someone not motivated by passion will have a hard time succeeding. A great candidate for a volunteer veterinary advisor wants to support the team and teach inquiring minds. This position may take anywhere from one hour or more a week. You may reside anywhere in the contiguous United States. Offer professional advice on veterinary care, disease prevention, and overall animal health and welfare Communicating with the team about responses to intake Weekly to bi-weekly meetings with the team, regular text communication Assist in healthcare plans for long term animals including but not limited to heartworm positive animals, pregnant animals, emaciated animals etc. Write heartworm prevention prescriptions for animals within our network under your DVM license, to be paid for by the rescue

ADOPTION COORDINATOR

The adoption coordinator is the primary contact person for all adoptive families. They oversee the integration of animals into their new forever homes. This position maintains accurate records, attends team meetings regularly and is responsible for overseeing the care of multiple pets in homes simultaneously. This position is a part time volunteer position.

A candidate for this position MUST have a dedication to animal rescue. This is a volunteer position, and someone not motivated by passion will have a hard time succeeding. This position will take several hours a few times a week. You may reside anywhere in the contiguous United States. Coordinate with approved adoptive guardians about the needs of their new pet. This includes medical, supplies, paperwork, and timeline. Act as main point of contact for adoptive homes and commit to ‘regular’ check ins.
